On Tuesday, 10th December 2019, a group of Hasene Australia Directors and volunteers visited The Oaks Rural Fire Brigade and were received by the captain of the brigade, Mr. Jeremy Wilson. Hasene presented Mr. Wilson and the ORFS with a cheque for the sum of $14,000 raised by our community.
Volunteers at the station gave a brief update regarding the damage the bushfires have caused, the ongoing threat they represent and the efforts of the volunteer firefighters on the ground.
We would like to commend the efforts of the NSW Rural Fire Service and the volunteers in fighting the fires and express that we will always stand as one against any calamity.
UPDATE: Our Hasene volunteers are stationed at evacuation centres providing assistance to those affected by the bushfires. Please click HERE to donate and help us to provide fresh meals and supplies.
