Emergency Aid - Morocco Earthquake

On September 9, 2023, the Moroccan Ministry of Interior announced that a 6.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in central Morocco, resulting in the loss of at least 2000 lives. It was reported that at least 672 people were injured, with 205 of them being in critical condition.

Emergency relief activities are categorised as follows:

1. Food and Drinking Water: Food and drinking water will be provided to meet the basic nutritional needs of earthquake victims.

2. Essential Medical Supplies: Essential medical supplies, including medications, bandages, sterile materials, and medical equipment, will be provided to address earthquake-related injuries and prevent illnesses.

3. Shelter and Tent Supplies: Tent materials and shelter equipment will be provided to offer temporary housing to those who have lost their homes in the earthquake.

4. Basic Hygiene Products: Basic hygiene products, such as soap, toothbrushes, toilet paper, and other necessary items for maintaining personal hygiene and preventing the spread of diseases, will be distributed, ensuring access to clean water and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
